These rules are to be followed by everyone who participates in Agharta. Staff and players a-like.


===In-game Rules===
* Stay in-character! If you want to goof around out of character, there's always the Irc Channel or some other chat program.
* Characters are to be named who they are - not a screen name but a name like every one of us have. Nicknames are allowed but nothing that are common in usernames such as ""Solbadguy2003", etc, are allowed.
* No Cybering. If you want to continue romantic things, continue them off server. '''This does not mean take it to a PM ingame. I am serious, please take these sort of things to AIM or MSN'''
* No meta-gaming. There is no way your character automatically knows someone's name unless they are a well known character, such as an NPC like the King or President. There is no way your character knows absolutely everything.
* No power-gaming. When in battle, please take reserves to make things fair.
* Follow what the storyteller says. If something happens that you don't agree with, then keep it to yourself.
* Even fake people should have manners. If a character acts out on another, then expect results...and possibly not good ones. Especially if this is a storyteller's character!
* No botting. Seriously, this is a roleplaying midrate server. Why is there a need to bot?
* Taking characters that are from other universes (games, movies, manga, anime) is strictly prohibited. It is alright to use them as a base for your character, but try to keep your character as original as possible.
* There are guards/people in every town, even when there are none logged in. Please have your character act as if someone is ALWAYS watching them when in town.
* A character needs to relatively fit into Agharta lore. If you believe there is some sort of possibility of clashing with the setting, please send a PM to the staff about such a character BEFORE creating them.


===Out-of-game Rules===
* R.E.S.P.E.C.T. For EVERYONE, including your fellow players AND staff. If you have a problem with another member, please keep it to yourself. Worry about yourself, not others.
* No digging through our .grf. If found to be doing so, there will be severe punishment.
* No harassment of members will be tolerated.
* You MUST have a forum account. Please regularly check it.
* Please do not ban evade. If you are banned for a length of time and we find that you've been snooping in on another account, prepare to have that one banned. And your IP.


===IRC Rules===
* Again, respect EVERYONE, including staff and the players.
* Please take talk of old drama, other server drama, drama in GENERAL elsewhere.
* Inappropriate pictures (nudity, swearing, gore, sexual, ETC) should be marked NSFW, or better yet, kept off of the IRC chatroom. It is staff discretion if it is appropriate towards the discussion at the time. If you are looking to send it to a fellow IRC chat member, there's something called Private Messaging them...
* Again, please act civil and do not cause trouble for one another. Act your age, treat everyone as you wish to be treated. If harassment is abound, expect to have your head knocked in.
* Any decisions made as a punishment is at the discretion of the staff member giving such punishment.
